Description

Hello my friends! I am listing this house for a friend of mine. For those of you who have seen the homes that I own in Spain, this house is on the same street, directly next door to the house I’m renovating and moving into. The street is a mix of Romani (gypsy) and expats who own or rent the homes. This is the oldest street in Pego, so many of the homes here are being renovated. The street is narrow, so there is no parking, but there is parking on every attached street nearby.

The current owner had done many renovations while living in the house, but moved to the countryside a few years ago and the house has been sitting empty. The house is narrow, and the ceilings are very tall. There are two staircases, one in the front and one in the back. The front staircase leads to two bedrooms which are separated by a hallway. The back staircase leads to the third bedroom. The second and third bedroom are separated by an outdoor garden area. Both staircases also lead to the rooftop terraces. The entire rooftop is enclosed with walls and can be made into a garden area. There is a gap between the two rooftop terraces that has a wooden bridge between the two. I did walk across the bridge, but it should have repairs to be made safe for crossing, or could be removed.

The house has been made very secure with gates on doors and windows.

No appliances are included. Appliances needed are refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher (if desired), and washer/dryer. There are hookups for all.

The single bathroom is common in Spanish townhouses toward the back of the house, near the kitchen, so that all plumbing is close together. The bathroom has a spacious shower, a beautiful sink and vanity, and a working toilet.

Payment Options

Cash is preferrable.

You may also select to get a mortgage from a Spanish bank. This will make the process a bit more detailed as the bank will need to do an inspection and will have their own requirements. Spanish banks usually require a down payment of at least 40%.
